Our Story …

A Pickled Thought is a creative space here in the heart of Totnes, where we intend to pickle some thoughts! We are a mother and daughter artistic duo. This space will show a variety of works from us both. Collaboratively and as individuals, we will explore a range of subjects to create unique pieces of art from two perspectives.

Charlie is an established Artist who creates narrative and landscape paintings and drawings with extensive use of colour and interwoven personal memories. She has exhibited both in the United Kingdom and internationally, most recently showing at the Royal Drawing School after completing The Drawing Year. She has also shown at the Mall Galleries in London with the Royal Society of British Artists, Society of Women Artists and the New English Art Club.

Isabelle graduated from Goldsmiths with a first-class degree in Fine Art. She is a conceptual artist and, like her mother is also fascinated by The Everyday. Isabelle's practice embodies the term ethnographic surrealism, which allows the concept to act as a catalyst for the medium.
